Unfortunately with the nature of these machines, problems arise even on fresh rebuilds.
RULE #1 - Contact me first if there is an issue. Do not take your machine to another mechanic and expect me to pay someone else to fix something that can be repaired by Gunny.
RULE #2 – My warranty does not and will not cover any cost whatsoever incurred from taking your machine to another "mechanic". Your engine MUST be returned to Gunny’s Moto Works, LLC for any type of warranty coverage. Warranty coverage is described below.
A 30 day warranty starts the day you receive your moto. If you wait 2 or 3 months to ride your moto the warranty is void after 30 days. If there is an issue during the 30 day period the customer is responsible for returning the moto. The moto will be inspected for abuse such as running without oil, running without coolant, running hot for any reason. Damage from overheating for any reason will not be covered. Furthermore, do not attempt to fix the moto yourself. If you attempt to diagnose the moto yourself the warranty is void. Once we have determined the problem you will be notified whether or not it will be warranted. Motos that pass the warranty inspection will be fixed LABOR FREE. The warranty will cover LABOR ONLY, at that point you will pay dealer cost for replacement parts needed. Once issues are resolved the moto will be returned to the customer.
Warranty will not cover the following:
• Damage from overheating for any reason
• Broken or so called “dropped” valves
• Valves going out of spec prematurely
• Oil leaks / seeps at valve cover gasket or oil line connections
• MODIFIED RACE ENGINES
• 2 Stroke pistons or cranks
Lastly, I do not warranty fork seal replacements as you can damage them by simply loading your moto and strapping them down too far. Take special care not to torque your front forks down when loading.
